About Lisa

Lisa Vratny-Smith, MSW, ERYT® 200, RYT® 500, RCYT®, YACEP®, CP, Reiki Master Teacher, Sound Healing Practitioner

Owner, coach, teacher, healer, and provider of love and laughter.

Lisa has been practicing yoga, mindfulness, and meditation since 1994 and teaching since 2002. She is trained in Classical Hatha Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Radiant Child Yoga, and Young Yokes Kids Yoga. In May 2022 Lisa completed an additional 300 Hour YTT program, which includes certifications in Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Adaptive Yoga, qualifying her as an RYT® 500. She is also a Trained Teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion.

Lisa began her journey in energy healing in 2001 as a Certified Practitioner of High Touch® Jin Shin and completed her Reiki Master Teacher training in 2021. She also completed her Sound Healing Certification in 2023 adding the vibrational tools of sound healing to her energy healing repertoire.

Additionally, Lisa holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and worked as a School Social Worker from 1994 to 2024 in Aurora Public Schools. During her final years in the district Lisa served as a Sustainable Wellness Coach for the school district combining her social work, yoga, and meditation training to support staff and students with their overall wellbeing through mindfulness based wellness programs.

In addition to creating and leading numerous professional development courses for the school district, Lisa has presented at state and national conferences including the 2023 National School Social Work Conference (SSWAA), 2022 Annual Conference on Advancing School Mental Health-Virtual, the 2022 Colorado Society of School Psychologists (CSSP) Fall Conference, 2021 Public Education and Business Coalition Virtual Conference, 2021 Colorado School Social Work Association Conference, and the 2013 & 2015 Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference (RMECC).

Lisa convinced me to give yoga another try about 12 years ago.  Although I had tried yoga on two prior occasions, I didn’t enjoy it - the instructors were judgmental and pushed “their” versions of various poses, which did not work for my body.   Lisa was and still is an empathetic, kind and energetic instructor who encourages her students to accept themselves as they are in any given moment.  She has such a positive energy that one can’t help but feel better after spending time around her and her infectious laugh!  Classes are grounding and provide a great overall body stretch.  Thanks to Lisa, I’m an avid yoga practitioner, still benefiting in many ways 12 years later!
