Learn to use the skills of mindfulness to develop the inner resource of self-compassion and enhance your capacity for emotional wellbeing led by Lisa Vratny-Smith, MSW.
The Short Course in Mindful Self-Compassion (SC-MSC) is a 6-session adaptation of the empirically-supported 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program developed by Kristin Neff, PhD, the pioneering researcher in the field of self compassion and Christopher Germer, PhD, a leader in the integration of mindfulness, compassion and psychotherapy. “Self-Compassion promotes emotional resilience, reduces anxiety and depression, and helps individuals recover from stress and burnout by fostering a more balanced and supportive relationship with themselves.” (centerformsc.org)

The series will run for six weeks and each class will include a short reading and a self-compassion focused meditation lasting 15-20 minutes. No meditation experience is necessary.
