Self-kindness

Dear Friends -

I have been thinking a lot today about remembering to be kind to ourselves in moments of difficulty. Most of us are harder on ourselves than we are on others. Being kind to ourselves is a way to refill our own cup and rewrite the messages we have internalized from the outside world. When we are compassionate with ourselves, we can in turn offer compassion more easily to others. This Self-Compassion Break practice is a great place to start or review the steps of self-compassion.

I hope you will join me for Saturday Morning Yoga this weekend as we tune into our bodies and care for them with lovingkindness.

Participating in joyful and healing events can be an act of self-compassion. Join me this Saturday, February 22 for a Winter Restorative Sound Bath at Harmonist Sanctuary and offer yourself a peaceful hour of rest and healing. In person and virtual options available!

Sometimes we need more than an hour or two of care to truly meet our needs and retreats are the perfect opportunity for this. This spring I am offering an afternoon retreat on March 29, a weekend retreat April 25 - 27, and a 5 day retreat specifically for educators June 22-26. All events are in person and will provide you the opportunity to experience a nurturing, supportive environment, soothe your frazzled nervous system, and find community.
