Pitta Season & Summer Solstice

I hope this finds you all well and staying cool as the heat ramps up again this weekend. Pitta qualities can be exacerbated by excessive heat causing us to feel irritable and short tempered. Remember to stay hydrated, take breaks from the heat, and wear loose, comfortable clothing to help regulate your body temperature. Paying attention to our diet is another way to help pacify pitta energy by eating foods that are naturally sweet, bitter, and astringent as well as decreasing foods that are naturally warming. We are still experiencing the energy of this week’s full moon, which is a great opportunity to shake off anything left from the winter and spring that no longer serves you. The approach of the Summer Solstice on Tuesday is another opportunity to step into our own power and embrace the next steps on our journey.
