Grounding Practices

After a chill trip to Iowa to help our youngest son move into his new place, I returned to a chaotic week in the school district. Sometimes when things are upended we revert to old patterns of reacting, rather than pausing, processing, and responding. That was definitely me on Monday. Allowing ourselves time to feel all the feelings, engaging in grounding practices, and reaching out for support are strategies that can help us make it through those challenging days.

Today I feel like I’m starting to acclimate to the changes a bit and this post from Forever Conscious gave me some hope for a reprieve ahead to catch my breath. I hope you all are finding ways to ride the waves you are facing with some ease.
