Listening to our bodies

It has been an interesting week with many people sharing the effects the energy of Monday’s New Moon and the shifting planets have had in their lives. I ended up with a migraine on Tuesday, which I took as the universe telling me to sit down and rest, so I did. :)

As the holiday season ramps up listening to what our bodies need and following the rhythm of the season is often at odds with the hustle and bustle of all the going and doing that holidays demand. As we move toward Thanksgiving I encourage you to build in time to pause, soak in the moment, and allow things to be good enough rather than perfect. We can cultivate joy in our lives by appreciating what is and letting go of what we think it should be.

Our mindful practices of yoga, breath work, and meditation all support our ability to respond thoughtfully to what life brings. Please join me for Saturday Morning Yoga this weekend as we ease out of the work week, find moments to pause and reflect, and care for our bodies with lovingkindness.

NEW OPPORTUNITY COMING!! I am excited to share a new collaboration coming in December. My friend and fellow yoga teacher Kate Kelly will be offering her Express Yoga class through my website on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:00-7:30 AM MT. I had the pleasure of joining Kate and her students yesterday and loved it! Kate thoughtfully provides a full yoga class in 30 minutes leaving you ready to start your day. More information about Kate and a description of her class will be on the website soon. Look for opportunities to join her the first week of December.
