Road blocks

This summer we have netting around our vegetable garden to keep the neighborhood cats out, which has offered the added bonus of protecting the garden from all the crazy hail. Unfortunately, a butterfly found its way into the netting this evening and is struggling to find its way out. We’ve opened the entrances in hopes it will figure it out, but it keeps trying to go through the netting instead of through the opening.

As I watch it I am reminded of how often we get stuck in the expectation of one path being the way we have to go and miss the other opportunities present. For me this is relevant related to the Costa Rican retreat I was hoping to host next summer. After running into a variety of road blocks, I looked around and noticed other options that will provide what I am wanting to offer a little closer to home. I still want to offer a beach yoga retreat, but it’ll be a little further out in the future. In the meantime, stay tuned for information on a Colorado yoga retreat that will fill your spirit and be a little easier on your bank account. 😉

Update: the butterfly has freed itself with a little assist from my husband.🦋

Just as the butterfly experienced stress in the netting, we also experience stress in our lives and often carry the residue of it and the related hormones in our bodies even after the stressor has passed. Movement and breathing are the best ways to move this residue out of our bodies and bring them back into balance. Please join me for Saturday Morning Yoga* to pause, listen to your body, and care for it with lovingkindness. Previous recordings of Saturday Morning Classes as well as Evening Chair Yoga are available on my Youtube channel.

*Reminder, there will be no live class on July 22.

My next sound healing event will be a Full Moon Sound Bath on Saturday, July 29th from 3-4pm. Register soon!

May you be safe, may you be happy, may you be healthy, may you live with ease. ❤️ ~ Lisa
